Step One: Free Registration
Once you’ve decided MatchHome is the perfect partner for your home buying or selling needs, all you need to do is register as a user. Simply click here and you’ll be redirected to our easy registration page and you’ll be on your way to being matched with potential buyers, sellers and landlords in no time.
Step Two: Registering Your Property & Qualifying Your Application
(a) At this stage, if you’re looking to SELL or LET your property you’ll be required to register the full property details. You’ll also be asked to select your chosen service package from our list. It’s completely up to you whether you choose our standard package or also choose to include other add-ons like a gas safety inspection or electrical safety test (both of which are a legal requirement for any tenanted property), because regardless of the package you choose, the service you receive will always be second to none.
(b) If you’re looking to BUY or RENT a property then at this stage you’ll be given the tools you need to obtain your credit score through Experian and add your details to your MatchHome profile. By doing this, you’re prequalifying any viewing you undertake as the landlord or seller will already be aware of your credit circumstances before agreeing to the viewing. Credit scores will be listed as Excellent, Good, Fair, Bad and Very Bad to make them easier to understand. As soon as this information is added to your profile, it’ll be available for potential landlords and sellers to see, which means the matching process can begin right away.

Step Three: Appraising Your Property & Your Property Search
(a) If you’ve chosen to SELL or LET your property then at this stage you’ll be able to select an appointment convenient to you, for an expert market appraisal to be conducted on your property. After the appraisal, you’ll be given a valuation of your property (this is worked out as an average of several expert opinions), along with a floor plan, professional photos and an up to date energy certificate as part of the standard package. At this point you should also receive certification for any extras you’ve chosen to add. Once all of this is complete, we aim to get your property live on our website within 10 working days.
(b) For BUYERS and TENANTS this step is what you’ve been waiting for… it’s time to start searching for your perfect home. You’ll be able to start searching our property database and sending viewing requests to property owners. Once the owner accepts your request, you’ll be able to arrange a viewing convenient to you both.
Step Four: Finalisation
This process starts with buyers and tenants. At this stage once you’ve found your perfect property, you’re free to make an offer. Once your offer has been accepted, all tenants will undergo a comprehensive credit and reference check. After this, buyers will be free to instruct their solicitors, and tenants will be able to sign their tenancy agreement.
For landlords and vendors this step involves accepting an offer from your chosen client, then landlords will be required to sign a tenancy agreement – remember this can be supplied by MatchHome – and vendors will need to instruct their solicitor to proceed with the sale. Once everything’s complete, you’re free to move straight in to your new home or to start collecting rent from your new tenants.
