This Privacy Policy explains how we use the information we collect about you, how you can tell us if you prefer to limit the use of that information and procedures that we have in place to safeguard your privacy. In some circumstances if you object to the way in which we propose to use information provided by you this may limit the range of services that we can offer to you or prevent us from offering you a service at all as we use your information only to facilitate the provision to you of services by us.

1. The information we collect and how we use it

7. How we use cookies

8. Our partner companies and how they use your information:

a) EPC Online Residential and Commercial Vendors and Landlords’ orders will be processed by EPC online who carry out property visits and prepare property pictures, particulars, floor plans and energy performance certificates on our behalf.

b) Experian Prospective residential tenants’ information will be shared with Experian for background checking. The reports will be sent only to us. We will notify Landlords if the necessary requirements are met, not met or if we consider that a higher risk, possibly leading to a higher deposit being sought, is present. We do not give any reason to the landlord for this and the landlord only receives the result (pass, fail, higher risk) and not any details.

c) Hinch PM Landlord and tenant information will be shared with Hinch PM for check in/check out and inventory purposes only.

d) Local Property Law Vendors’ and buyers’ information will be shared with Local Property Law only upon instruction. Local Property Law will forward any application to a solicitor from our selected panel within the geographic area of the client in order to assist with any transaction.

e) Telecommunications with us. All in-bound and out-bound telephone calls are recorded and stored securely by MATCHHOME (UK) LTD and retained for a period of 7 YEARS. In the event of a dispute the relevant calls may be used to assist in resolving the dispute and may be shared with lawyers acting for either us or the person making or receiving the call and any court, arbitrator or mediator involved in resolving the dispute or by any law enforcement agency as required by law.

To be absolutely clear, we only share information with third party companies in order to facilitate our provision of a service to you. We do not share information that is not necessary for that party to carry out their work and we only share such information once you as the client have agreed that the enquiry or transaction should proceed to the stage where such information needs to be shared. We have selected our third party partners very carefully and we continue to monitor their performance in every aspect of their work that is relevant to our business, including the protection and safeguarding of your information.

9. Controlling your personal information

You may choose to restrict the collection or use of your personal information in the following ways:

i) whenever you are asked to fill in a form on the website, look for the box that you can click to indicate that you do not want the information to be used by anybody for direct marketing purposes
